Impacto dos défices de polinização na produção de kiwi em Portugal - Bibliografia

A polinização eficiente é um processo fundamental para a viabilidade económica da cultura do kiwi (Actinidia spp., Actinidiaceae), sendo a produção bruta e o calibre do fruto fortemente influenciados pela disponibilidade de pólen no pomar e a quantidade e qualidade do pólen que chega aos estigmas. Na região de produção de kiwi em Portugal, estudos anteriores mostraram que os défices de polinização, apesar de não serem muito severos, variam no tempo e no espaço. Portanto, para avaliar a necessidade de práticas de suporte à polinização, torna-se fundamental perceber qual é o impacto destes défices na produção e rentabilidade da cultura. Assim, e com base em resultados obtidos anteriormente, utilizámos valores de produção, calibre do fruto e respetivo valor de mercado para estimar o impacto económico dos défices de polinização.
